About us

We believe one of the best attractions to visit in Scotland is the Moray Coast dolphins, seals and other local Wildlife.  Whether you've travelled for miles or are a local wanting to experience the beauty on your doorstep, we're sure a trip on Orlik will provide unforgettable and instagrammable memories.

Built in 1950, Orlik is an extraordinary example of a traditional wooden trawler, boasting a double solid oak frame and oak decking.  Her career has included being a North Sea seine net fisher working and spending summer months in Iceland, even during the cod war.  In early retirement she was used as an off shore platform for divers in the South of England before returning to Scotland for a sympathetic restoration, including the installation of eco-friendly solar panels.  A boat trip watching bottlenose dolphins and seals on Orlik is a memorable experience as she is one of only a few surviving wooden crafted trawlers from a golden age of fishing vessels.

Our guests have told us they felt their time on Orlik was their travel highlight and one of the best holiday activities in Scotland.

Michael is a former North Sea Fisherman and Lorna is an experienced sailor, they look forward to skippering your trip.
